Milica Dragojevic Vendimiatti is an expert in the trade field with over 15 years of experience, with a focus on public policy, public-private dialogue, and economic development in the Western Balkans region.
Ms. Dragojevic’s career includes nearly 10 years with the German development agency, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), working on preparing and coordinating activities to support the private sector and public-private dialogue in trade as part of the trade reform agenda in the Western Balkans. She coordinated private sector engagement activities for Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Kosovo.
During her time with GIZ, her accomplishments include leading the establishment of the regional AEO Association, an association of private sector with the task of providing input and proposals for the improvement and implementation of the customs procedures in the region. The AEO Association was successfully launched, supported by the private sector and created a successful platform for dialogue with Customs administrations and other stakeholders. She also coordinated activities to develop the framework for supporting public-private dialogue in relation to the Balkans E-Commerce Alliance.
Prior to this, Ms. Dragojevic was the Public Policy Manager at the American Chamber of Commerce in Montenegro. She was responsible for research on policy proposals on the national level and EU level and provided proposals for the Chamber’s advocacy activities in areas of Labor and Tax Regulation, Intellectual Property Rights, Tourism and Construction and Health Care. She also served as Acting Executive Director of the organization, successfully delivering on AmCham’s Strategy and Action Plan during this time.
Ms. Dragojevic also has experience in public policy matters from her time in Montenegrin and German think tanks and in collaboration with the Montenegrin and EU policy makers. She has worked with decision makers in shaping policies on the national level impacting the business climate and attracting investors in Montenegro.
Ms. Dragojevic holds an Executive Master of Business Administration, with a focus on Global Executive Management and Master in European Studies, focus on EU foreign policy. She is fluent in Montenegrin and Serbian, and proficient in English, German, Italian, and Portuguese.
