Mr. Wolf recently retired as the Vice President of Logistics at Destination XL Group (DXL), the largest retailer of big and tall men’s clothing with over 250 stores in the US as well as a robust Omni-channel e-commerce presence. Mr. Wolf led the logistics process, including purchase order management as well as customs compliance.
While in this role, he negotiated small package contracts resulting in USD $8m in savings over a 5-year period and reduced ocean freight costs by 20%. He also ensured a robust supply chain flow before, during, and after the COVID-19 crisis by creating positive relationships with suppliers and carriers. Additionally, he led the implementation of updated CTPAT policies and procedures, and the successful virtual validation of the company and a major foreign supplier.
Prior to joining DXL, Mr. Wolf worked in leadership roles for major specialty retailers in the women’s clothing market. As Director of Logistics and Purchasing at Women’s Apparel Group, he created a new purchasing team that reduced supply cost by 15% in the first year. As Director of Logistics at Redcats USA, he led the organization for all inbound and outbound shipments at four distribution centers. He also negotiated reductions in import ocean and air rates of USD $1.2m annually and helped develop a new, industry-leading customs returns program via UPS, improving both customer satisfaction and corporate revenue.
In addition to his roles in the retail industry, Mr. Wolf has also held transportation roles in the paper and building materials industries. His experience in these roles as well as being a licensed Customshouse broker give him a unique perspective and the ability to guide companies through complex logistical requirements.
