CT Strategies is thrilled to announce the expansion of its Navigator services to Europe with the launch of its AEO Navigator service line! AEO Navigator is a trusted guide throughout any stakeholder’s AEO journey in Europe. The core of these services are CT Strategies’ subject matter experts, including those that have worked within customs administration as validators, auditors and leaders in developing AEO programmes, as well as those that have worked within AEOs of all sizes to obtain and maintain the authorization. AEO Navigator is modelled on the success of the company’s CTPAT Navigator services, which have assisted clients in obtaining and/or managing their membership within the US’ AEO programme, the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT).
AEO programmes have been implemented by customs authorities across the globe, including Europe as a tool to facilitate legitimate trade while enhancing supply chain security. Traders that agree to meet criteria established by the customs authority are entitled to benefits aimed at easing their cross-border trade operations. Obtaining an AEO authorisation can take quite a bit of internal coordination and preparation to ensure the trader aligns with the stated criteria. AEO Navigator was creating to ease the burden for traders and help make the application process as quick and smooth as possible.
AEO Navigator also conducts health checks to assist traders in maintaining the authorisation once approved and preparing for the future of AEO as the AEO concept continues to evolve. For example, as part of its customs reform, the European Union (EU) is developing a Trust and Check category, building off of and strengthening the AEO programme.
