Washington, D.C. – CT Strategies is pleased to announce that its global reach and expertise continue to expand with the addition of Gordon Wright as Executive Director of European Operations. Mr. Wright adds to CT Strategies’ expertise in key trade policy areas by virtue of his 36 years of experience in customs regulations, trade facilitation measures, aviation security and international logistics.
Gordon Wright's Contributions at DHL Express as Vice President of Customs and Regulatory Affairs
Prior to joining CT Strategies, Mr. Wright served as most recently as Vice President of Customs and Regulatory Affairs at DHL Express, where he played a pivotal role in engaging with customs administrations and border agencies in Europe on behalf of one of the world’s largest express carriers. In this role he chaired the Global Express Association (GEA) Customs Working Group, as well as served on the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and European Express Association Customs Working Groups where he worked with regulators to develop and implement current customs standards and regulations.
Prior to joining DHL, Mr. Wright spent 10 years leading Cargo Border Management initiatives at IATA where he was responsible for all customs, cargo and mail security programs and policy development. His impressive career also includes senior positions with the European Commission where he served as lead on negotiations for Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) mutual recognition agreements, including with U.S. CTPAT, as well as with HM Revenue & Customs and South Africa Revenue Service.
Throughout his career, Mr. Wright has demonstrated exceptional expertise in customs systems, capacity building, and Trade Facilitation Agreement implementation. His extensive experience and ability to navigate complex international environments have established him as a trusted leader and advisor in the field.
