U.S. Customs and Border Protection Commissioner, Gil Kerlikowske, announced that Mr. Todd C. Owen will become the next Assistant Commissioner for the Office of Field Operations, the highest post within the component of CBP that oversees all operations related to international trade and travel. Mr. Owen was most recently the Director of Field Operations for the Los Angeles Field Office, which includes direction of all operations at the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach and LAX Airport.
In his extensive experience with CBP Mr. Owen has developed strong ties to the trade community and an exceptional understanding of economic and supply-chain security concerns.
